Flash is divided into two types,one is SLC(Single Level Cell) and MLC(Multi-Level Cell),let's see what is difference between this:
Theoretical lifetime:SLC 100k times plug and play,MLC is 10K times
Speed:Usually the same capacity,SLC is faster than MLC
Power Consumption:Under same condition,SLC is lower than MLC
From oversee,the MLC not seems good than SLC,but unit cell store MLC have absolute advantage than SLC,recent years so many chip factory greatly improved the con-structure of MLC,the whole performance seems better and better.
Another important information is about the controller of the USB,main have Chipsbank,Alcor,SMI,PHISON,Usbest etc,
SMI and PHISON belongs to USB3.0 usually do,2.0 usually adopt Alcor and chipsbank.
Usually if clients need to specific controller and chips,the cost will increase,because this add the time to find the chips matching the controller.
